Long-time House Favorite! La Tur is a soft-ripened cheese made from a blend of sheep's, cow's and goat's milk. It is produced by Caseficio dell'Alta Langa in the Alta Lange region of Piedmont, Italy. The cylinder shaped cheese is a light straw yellow color with an edible soft and wrinkled rind. La Tur tastes of the richness of cream and butter, followed by fresh tangy notes and yeasty flavors. It looks and tastes like a cupcake of soft-ripened magic! It goes with a wide variety of wine pairings, especially those with floral or honey notes, such as Franciacorta Italian sparkling, Italian whites such as Gavi, Falanghina and Grillo; or with lighter-bodied Piemontese reds such as Dolcetto and Barbera.
• MILK: Pasteurized cow, goat, sheep's milk
• TASTING: Ripened from the outside in, this young Italian cheese is creamy near the rind with a fluffy, mousse-like interior.
• SERVING: La Tur's palette-coating richness is perfect with the effervescence of sparkling wine like Franciacorta or Prosecco, and salty, crispy flatbreads such as La Panzanella.
