Barrell Craft Spirits Seagrass

This blended rye is unlike any rye previously released by Barrell Craft Spirits, and indeed, unlike any other rye on the market. Rye whiskey distilled in both Canada and Indiana have been aged in a combination of casks that previously held Martinique Rhum, Malmsey Madeira, and Apricot Brandy. Blended and bottled in Kentucky, the resulting, luscious spirit evokes days and nights spent next to the ocean and is complex in its sensory experience. Sun-ripened apricot and tarragon on the nose transition to a sweet and round palate of more apricot, apple, and overripe pear, amontillado sherry, fresh grapefruit, and rosehip; all is focused with a sharp, rye backbone and a haunting finish full of salinity and daydreams of the seaside.
