Piattelli Vineyards is located in the town of Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo. In north-west Argentina, Piattelli’s winery is located a few miles outside the town of Cafayaté and is located at 5,522 feet above sea level. The landscape is much more desert-like, and is known for its proximity to the wonderous rock formations in the Calchaquí Valley. Vineyards in the greater province of Salta are situated higher than 7,000 feet.
With great backbone and intensity married with soft fruitfulness, Piattelli's Grand Reserve Malbec has many dimensions to fascinate the connoisseur, yet is smooth and gentle enough to please the novice. Cultivated with arid-clean air at 3,200 ft elevation, crystal-clear water from the Andes, and nutrient-rich soil, Piattelli’s Malbec grapes thrive in the warm, dry days and cool nights which maximize the color and tannins. Packaged in a beautiful stately bottle and lovely label.

The 2021 Malbec Grand Reserve hails from the Uco Valley and was aged for 12 months in French and American oak. Dark purple in hue. Plum and cherry aromas rise alongside white pepper and oak. Velvety with plush tannins, the expansive but balanced palate ends with a lingering, fruity finish. This is an easygoing, satisfying wine.
