Château D’Arcie has built a reputation as a high quality estate in the Saint Émilion appellation of Bordeaux. The vines are tended with respect for the environment from their estate vineyard of 31 acres of clay and sandy soils, planted to Merlot and Cabernet Franc with old vines averaging 40 years of age. They have a gravity flow winery which allows gentle handling of the fruit. 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc aged in French oak barrels, 40% new for 12 months. Lovely red fruits, plums & cherries, violets and vanilla abound along with silky tannins and a long, juicy finish.

The fresh black currant fruits show strongly in this ripe, perfumed wine. The blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc hangs well together, giving some firm tannins as well as spice and youthful fruitiness. Drink from 2025.
