It has been an incredible summer here in Spring Lake! Lots of sun, fun, great wine and happy spirits!! We can't believe we are approaching Labor Day weekend, but then again, it always feels like summer goes by way too fast!!! One of our top selling categories all season, in addition to Sancerre, Dry Rosé, Pinot and Prosecco, has been BOURGOGNE BLANCS. Made of 100% Chardonnay, where Chardonnay was 'born' in Burgundy, these whites can be thoroughly exquisite examples of the grape and the region, and Carillon & Sauzet have both achieved just that in these 2021 offerings (a great white burg vintage by the way).
Also we really wanted to get the word out today about our first VIP event since early May. On Friday September 6 from 4-6 pm we are hosting a spectacular wine tasting featuring the renowned Brunello di Montalcino estate : CAPARZO. Our guest VIP from the winery is the Montalcino-born Mirco Biliorsi who will take us through a tasting of Caparzo's small batch Chardonnay; terrific Rosso di Montalcino; and two excellent Brunello reds.
