Wall Street Journal wine writer Lettie Teague has recommended a couple of our favorite wines once again!!! We loved meeting her last summer when she visited Spring Lake and wrote about our Sancerre selection & savvy staff. Now her recent article suggests wines from one of our all-time favorite winemakers Véronique Boss-Drouhin of Joseph Drouhin Burgundy fame since 1880, and Domaine Drouhin Oregon since 1987. Her Cloudline Oregon Pinot is such a tasty little value! Lettie's other pick is from a quality winery we visited in Chile named Montes. Montes 'Alpha' Cabernet Sauvignon is an exceptionally complex Cab for $20, yet still under-the-radar for many Cab lovers. This is a great time to try it!!!

According to winemaker Véronique Boss-Drouhin, the family created the Cloudline label more than 20 years ago in response to its American distributor’s request for a wine that would showcase Oregon Pinot Noir at an affordable price point.
